Redmi 9A Launched in China for $85:
In the previous month, Redmi introduced it’s most affordable smartphone of 2020, the Redmi 9A and Redmi 9C. Redmi 9A was the most affordable variant among them with the attractive specifications and aggressive pricing. Now, Redmi is launching Redmi 9A in China. This is the second device launched in China from Redmi 9 Series. Redmi 9 is priced at 799 Yuan i.e. $115. But Redmi 9A is priced at 599 Yuan which is $85, which makes is the most budgetable smartphone.
Redmi 9A comes with 2GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 32GB of internal storage in Chinese market. The device will be made available in three colour options i.e. Clear Sky, Lake Green and Sand Black. But the designs of Redmi 9A somehow resembles the Redmi 8A launched last year.
REDMI 9A SPECIFICATIONS:
It consists of massive 6.53-inch IPS LCD display with a teardrop notch at the top, that houses a 5MP front selfie camera. Looking at the megapixels, the camera might seem weak but it supports HDR, gesture photo and face recognition feature also. And at the back, there is a single 13MP camera alongside with a LED Flash. The rear camera also supports HDR, Portrait Mode, AI Scene Recognition and Time-Lapse Photography. Also the camera can output 1080p videos at the rate of 30fps.
Talking about the processor, it is powered by Helio G25 chipset, which is a mid-range processor from MediaTek, but it’s performance is pretty appreciable. It is good to know that the device consists of Octa-Core processor which features Cortex-A53 cores in such a less price. And the performance is much better than that of Redmi 8A and Redmi 7A which were featured by Snapdragon 439 chipset.
This device supports dual SIM-Cards and consists of triple slots, two for SIM-Cards and one for microSD card. In case the internal storage gets full, you can simply extend your storage by inserting a microSD card. It also have other features that includes 1217 speaker, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0 and a 3.5mm Jack for headphones. Unfortunately, this device doesn’t features a Type-C port for fast charging and a fingerprint scanner is also not available to this price point.
But the device is powered by a massive battery capacity of 5,000mAh, which allows you to work continuously. Redmi 8A was featured with Type-C port but it is not, which limits users with slow charging due to the 10W limit. Redmi 9A comes with MIUI 12 straight out of the box and runs on top of Android 10 OS.
