Link building is the process where hyperlinks are created on other websites link to your website. Building the SEO link has become an absolute necessity in today’s highly competitive online marketplace. Hundreds of thousands of websites try to position themselves in various search engines such as Google, Yahoo, Bing, and Yandex.

What is Link Building ?

Link Building is the process to create one-way hyperlinks to a website where the goal is to improve website ranking in different search engines like Google, Bing, Yandex, Yahoo. In simple word we can say that we add hyperlinks on text in our website and on clicking that it will take us to some other website than we have added their backlink in our website and this is called Link Building

Why We Need Backlinks?

Backlinks also known as Inbound links (IBL’s) which is directed to your website and the number of backlinks are most important factor for the SEO. Search engines like google gives more credit to those sites which are referred by many other websites which means website having more backlinks are shown as result in search query.  The higher the amount backlinks, the greater their quality. Another reason to achieve quality backlinks is to attract visitors to come to your website. You can’t construct a site, and afterwards expect that individuals will discover your site without pointing the way. You will likely need to get the word out there about your site. One way website admins got the word out used to be through reciprocal connecting.

For example, if a google webmaster gas a website about web hosting in Nepal, and has received backlinks from some website about hosting than it would be more relevant in search engine’s result than say a link from a site about web designing in Nepal.

According to that Google engineer:

“…getting a link from a high Page Rank page used to always be valuable, today it’s more the relevance of the site’s theme in regards to yours, relevance is the new Page Rank.”

In simple words, It means that you must get backlinks from authority sites that are closely related to our website.

What are Authority Sites?

An authority sites are those websites which are very relevant and are respected by knowledgeable people in the society and google algorithm. In simple words those website which are trusted according to google are authority sites. People trust them due to their trust worthy content. Single backlinks from those website may boost your website rank very high in-comparison of 100’s of backlinks from other websites.

Authority depends upon different factor like URL Rating, Domain Rating, Domain Authority…

(Note: Although Google doesn’t share Page Rank information publicly, they still use it as the foundation of their algorithm).

You can easily check a proxy indicator of Page Rank (“Page Rating”) using Ahrefs.

Just pop a URL into Ahrefs and check out its “URL Rating”:

Use Anchor Tag To Give or Take Backlinks

Anchor tag is the clickable text section of page. Hyperlinks are added using anchor tag and google uses anchor text as a major ranking signal. Google sees that anchor text and says: “Hmm. That site used the anchor text: “Web Hosting in Nepal”. The page they had been linking to must be about “Web Hosting in Nepal”.

Co-Occurrences are the words and phrases that appear around your link.

Google likely uses co-Occurrences as “baby anchor text”.

This makes sense if you think about it:

The text around your link also gives clues to what your page is about. So why wouldn’t Google use it?

Dofollow vs Nofollow

Dofollow links are links that count as points, pushing SEO link juice and boosting the page rank of the linked-to sites, helping them go higher in the Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs) as a result.

A Nofollow link is a link that does not count as a point in the page’s favour, does not boost Page Rank, and doesn’t help a page’s placement in the Search Engine Results Pages SERPs. Nofollow links get no love. There is a sad and lonely life.
